Len As anyone familiar with Leonard knows he was kind, caring & big-hearted. His sense of humor was contagious. He loved to make people laugh, or throw them off track momentarily, but it was never hurtful or mean-spirited. Driving for ACCESS wasnt just a job to him, it was a huge part of his life, his connection to countless people. He was completely devoted to his co-workers and clients. And over the past week hundreds have shared how special was them. His passion for football was also remarkable. Hes the only person I ever knew who took time off to watch the NFL draft. And he was always loyal to his 49ers. He cared about me during some dark times when I thought nobody ever would. He was always encouraging. There will always be an empty space in my life without him. I always knew Leonard was a great guy and friend but over the days since his passing I have discovered how truly great he really was. I have come to find he was certainly a friend to all he knew of which I was privileged to be one but he was also a brother, uncle, mentor, caregiver, and even a dad to some. I'm sure as the days and years go by I'll get to know Leo even more than all these things.
He made all our lives better and for that I am personally so very thankful. I only which I knew him longer and for much longer.
Sleep well my friend you will always be missed but I won't ever forget.
Matt Thimgan Matty (Thanks for the great nickname too Leo!)

Oh Leonard as I knew you, You were a lot as I was when I was younger and as well, you could have been my son. You love others as you wanted to be loved, and enjoyed a good laugh or prank. We did pull off some good one! You had very special relationship with each of your friend and you always wanted to make things better. We both had our weight problems that we could fix, but we had hope. I will never forget the look on your face when I unlock your brand new truck shell that you just was tell how safe your stuff would be with my truck shell key. There is not a day goes by with out thinking about you when I park my car at work and not see yours. I have so much I want to say, but will to wait for some other day my friend. I only regret is that we did not have more time together and I did not know more about you. Take care my friend, Larry
