"Go Big or Go Home"

"The Mayor of BITC"...there will be a void in our daily life that will be hard to fill. I'm glad to have had the privilege to work and share some good laughs with you. May you rest in peace my brother and keep an eye out on the rest of us....Rainbow emoticon

Steve, you will always be 'The Man' at BITC.  Nobody will ever replace you!  We are all so very thankful that you shared yourself with us there at Bainbridge!  It will always be 'Steve's BBQ Barn' to me!

God Bless,  John Allsop

There have been just a few times in my life that I have found myself at a loss for words…I have to admit that this is one of those times. I would have to say that Steve was one of those truly good people and that my life was made just a bit better for having known him. It was my honor to count you as a friend. Although you will be sorely missed…I will keep you in my thoughts.

I had been driving with Steve for several years and enjoyed listening to him talk of the love of his daughters, his wife, and his adventures in fishing and crabbing. Steve loved the adventure of life and all it offered. This guy seemed to remember all his adventures, good or bad!
One day he says "Hey Dawsiano, let's go crabbing!" I don't know what was hooked from that point on..me or the crab! I still remember watching him come in from a distance in his boat to pick me up...the first of many memories.
Steve shared all he had with those that appreciated it, that was all he needed to know.
Good luck on your last and greatest adventure my friend! God bless you and your family. I will never forget you.

Hey Billy Nick,

Where ever you were at, fun followed.  You put a smile on everyones face.  With a song in your heart, singing out loud too, you made everyone feel comfortable and welcome around you.  In your life you never did anything halfway.  Thanks for pushing me to be a better person.  Every time I turn on the oldies station I will think of you.

Steve,

We will still be digging on James Brown. Thank you for teaching me the best way to cook ribs. I will miss you my friend and one day meet again to share the music and food we love so much, but not yet....

Steve,

We will still do that fishing trip, but just in a different place. I know where you are now, the salmon run all year, the weather is always sunny and the winds are calm. Save some big ones for me.

Dear Steve, I am so sorry that I did not know you more.

It was your Daughter I met working at Harrison Hospital in Silverdale, and she asked, Do you know my Father Steve Uhinck.

I said no, and then she started telling me all about her Father.

She was so proud of her Father and you was so much of her when I told you.

So Steve, I guess you will now be driving the Golden Highways of Heaven for you are needed there now.
